Minutes of Board of Directors Meeting

Silver Ridge Homeowner's Association

December 27, 2001

Location: Orange County Public Library, N. Hiawassee Rd. Orlando

 

 

CALL TO ORDER

Tony Green called the meeting to order at 19:10. The notice of the meeting (located at Hiawassee library branch) was posted at the front entrance of the community 48 hours in advance to the meeting.

 

VERIFICATION OF A QUORUM

In attendance were board members Tony Green, Eric Oelschlager, Matt Steinhoff and Yvonne C Sabater. Tony Harrell of the ACC was also in attendance.

 

ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES

Tony Green moved to wave the reading of the minutes given that everyone had seen them earlier. Steinhoff seconded. Motion carried.

 

ISSUES

Tony Green presented the Don Asher letter (discussed at the December 19 board meeting) to the board. All read the letter and approved. It was signed to be mailed certified and standard December 28.

 

Three management companies made presentations.

 

ENC Management Company -- Chip Cook, President; new company; only four associations per property manager; rate is somewhat flexible; high $3s to low $4s

 

Penn First Management -- Larry Sheeler, owner; has 62 associations; eight or nine properties managed by Garry House who would be our representative

 

Specialty Management Company -- Marc Davis; 82 communities total for SMC; Davis has 12

 

Discussed management companies. Here's what we think so far...

 

Steinhoff  -- ENC; Penn; Specialty

Oelschlager -- Penn; Specialty; ENC

Sabater -- Penn; ENC; Specialty

Green -- Penn; ENC; Speciality

 

Next board meeting not scheduled at this time.

 

Green exercised his executive privilege and unilaterally

closed the meeting at 20:57 shortly after the library turned the lights off.
