Silver Ridge Homeowner Association, Inc. Annual Membership Meeting May 17, 2001-7:00 p.m.

 

Minutes

 

Certification of Quorum/ Call to Order: With a quorum of the membership obtained, the meeting was called to order at 7:25 p.m. by Johnny Greene.

 

Presentations: Orange County Drainage, Michael Watts, Orange County Commissioner for District 2, Bob Sindler, Orange County Traffic Engineering, Ruby Rozier & Frank O'Keel and Orange County Streets and Drainage, Don Rhodes gave presentations. Questions from the membership were heard and responded to by these speakers.

 

Approval of Minutes from 2000 Annual Membership Meeting: The reading of these minutes were dispensed with and a motion heard to approve these as submitted, motion seconded and all were in favor. Minutes approved.

 

Appointment of Inspectors of Elections: Three residents from the membership present volunteered to count the ballots. With no objections from the membership, these three homeowners were appointed as the inspectors of the elections.

 

Nominations for 2001/2002 Board of Directors: Johnny Greene explained that there were three positions for the 2001/2002 Board of Directors. At this time, Joe Escalante wished to take his name off the ballot. Matt Steinhoff & Yvonne Sabater volunteered to serve on the Board if elected. These two homeowners were added to the ballot and ballots were marked and collected.

 

Committee Reports:

Neighborhood Watch -Linda Harrell gave this report tot he membership. Signs have been requested for the streets with enough participation.

A.C.C. & Neighborhood Improvement Committee: Tony Greene gave this report. Questions on the sinkhole on Silver Ridge were heard.

 

Drawing for $25.00 Home Depot gift certificate: Johnny Greene drew the ticket #2005982 for this gift card. The winner collected the gift card.

 

Old Business: Stephen Jory from 7600 Colebrook asked why the unapproved playset could not remain on the lot. Johnny Greene, Eric Oelschlager and several homeowners explained the concerns and deed restrictions on this matter to the homeowner, however, further discussion will be needed to resolve this matter.

 

New Business: The inspectors of the elections announced the results of the ballots and they were as follows:

 

                                                                          Yvonne Sabater -57 (3 year)

                                                                             Tony Greene -52 (2 year)

                                                                           Johnny Greene -49 (1 year)

                                                                                  Matt Steinhoff -48

The first three candidates are the 2001/2002 Board of Directors with the year term noted by each.

 

Adjournment: Johnny Greene motioned to adjourn the meeting at 9:00 p.m.
