Minutes of Board of Directors Meeting
Silver Ridge Homeowner's Association
Orange County Public Library, N. Hiawassee Rd. Orlando
July 31, 2003 AD

Tony Green called the meeting to order at 19:05 on July 31, 
2003 AD. The notice of the meeting (located at the Hiawassee 
library branch) was posted at both entrances of the community 
48 hours in advance to the meeting.

In attendance were board members Matthew Steinhoff, Tony Green, 
Lee Moslow and Fay Lewis. David Smith was representing Penn 
First Management.

Ron and Carol Perez, new neighbors (7601 Colebrook), were in 
attendance. They volunteered to support the ACC.

Tony Green motioned the following people hold the following
board positions:

  * Fay Lewis, Vice President
  * Matthew Steinhoff, Secretary
  * Emily Pierson, Treasurer
  * Lee Moslow, Director

Fay Lewis seconded. Motioned carried.

Minutes are approved as written.

Green motioned that we not pay Penn First for the mailing of 
the May 2003 annual meeting notice as it was unapproved and 
poorly written. Lewis seconded. Motion carries.

Green motioned that we request a refund of $250 a month for 
the months of February, March, April and May (for a total of 
$1,000) because there was no full-time property management 
in place and service was substantially degraded. Moslow 
seconded. Motion carries.

Smith presented the manager's report.

Steinhoff motioned that the board try to close off Eldorado 
to prevent traffic from Bon Aire coming into our neighborhood. 
Lewis seconds. Motion carries.

Lloyd Wilson of USA Signs presented the board with two 
potential Silver Ridge entrance signs. Steinhoff will put 
all bids online so that residents may vote on the designs.

Green assigned directors to various committees:
 * Steinhoff, Communications and Newsletter
 * Green, Construction and Oversight
 * Lewis, Architectural Control Committee
 * Pierson, Neighborhood Watch
 * Moslow, Neighborhood Improvement

Sarah Steinhoff updated the Silver Ridge web site to reflect 
the new board members and positions. The next newsletter is 
September 1, 2003. Stacy Bishop would like a Neighborhood 
Watch flyer included in the next newsletter. Committee chairs 
must turn in their articles by August 18, 2003 AD.

Lewis reported that the next ACC meeting is August 21 at 19:00.

Gary Stephenson from VSO Incorporated presented his sign plan 
to the board. A more formalized proposal will be coming for 
the web site.

Green closed the meeting at 20:20.
